Punjab National Bank 581 Specialist Officer recruitment

Punjab National Bank (PNB) is rated as the second largest Public Banks in India, next to SBI. PNB has opened up a massive recruitment of 581 vacancies for the post of specialist officers. Who are specialist officers?
A specialist officer has indeed a very special place in every bank. These officers may either have graduated in any specific field or may have a very good experience in that field. For example, a person who is graduated in Horticulture or Agriculture or Allied science is appointed specifically to lend loans to agricultural companies and farmers or to get deposits from a nearby dairy farm. These specialist officers are placed in the head office of banks and interact more closely with the public community.
Important Dates:
The last date for online registration is 15th July 2011 and the written exam will be on 28th Aug 2011.
Qualifications required:
• Age should be within 28 years, as per 1st June 2011.
• For Deputy Manager (IT) – the candidate should have completed engg in Comp. sci or IT or Electronics or a degree of MCA.
• For Marketing Officer – the candidate should have an MBA degree as on 24/06/2011

The selection process will be normal. As all normal bank exams, the candidates who pass the written exam will be allowed to attend the further rounds. The written exam will have questions on the following sections: Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, General Knowledge and English.
The application fee for general and other casts is Rs. 400 and for SC/ST, it is Rs. 50. The fees payment should be done at any nearby PNB branches before 15th July. The online application should be done after getting the fees payment receipt.
(During online application, the candidates should attach a scanned copy of their photo and signature.)
